Subash Nembang Speech

Subash Chandra Nembang (Limbu) (Nepali: सुवास चन्द्र नेम्वाङ (लिम्बु) , born 1953) is a Nepalese politician and the former Chairman of Constituent Assembly of Nepal. He was the first elected Free Student Union chairman of Mahendra Ratna Campus in Ilam and also elected as general secretary of Nepal Bar Association in 1987.
Born in Suntalabari in the Ilam District, Nembang has emerged victorious from Ilam-2 in all elections held after the restoration of democracy in 1990. He won both legislative elections of 1991 and 1999, and went on to hold key posts like the chairman of Public Accounts Committee and chairman of the parliament. Known for his diplomatic skills, Nembang was blamed for bringing the sovereign institution like the Constituent Assembly to an end by keeping it in a hostage-like situation in the name of consensus. Many still question his judgment of not calling the meeting of the Constituent Assembly on the last day, which they believe is the reason for the dissolution of the sovereign body. Considered a close confidant of senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, Nembang is known to be smart in grabbing the opportunities in the party. He has two daughters and two sons. 
In CA Election 2008, he received 17,448 votes to register victory against his closest contender Keshav Thapa (NC), who had 14,044 votes to his name. Harka Bahadur Lawati (UCPN-Maoist) collected 8,916 votes to remain third from the constituency.He again contested from Ilam-2 in CA Election 2013.
